Comment:

 I haven't tracked down the cases yet, but I get blurry overlay images on
 my OpenLayers.Layer.Vector layer too, on both FF3 and IE7.

 For FF3, it helps if the SVG renderer is forced to translate() to integer
 values, although I'm not sure at what level that must be fixed.
