 Openlayers with Google API v3 works noticeably slower than v2 and other
 map engines (we used OSM in our examples).

 Here are the examples.

 http://cardiagnostics.eurogps.eu/openlayers/map_v2.html

 Just drag the map around to see the difference. Using IE makes things even
 worse. Having multiple additional layers on top of the map makes user
 experience pretty bad.
