[OpenLayers-Users] events management - general use

Hello listers.
 
Is it possible to use OL's event manager for everything on a page
instead of just with OL objects?
This would avoid having to mix different event management libs...
 
Also, it would be usefull to have a poll asking everyone their
experiences with other JS/DOM libs, like jQuery, moofx, mootools, Dojo,
Rico, and others. Maybe in the wiki? If someone tries to build a complex
web mapping app, these will be very, very helpfull, and we can have a
record of how OL fares with each lib as it progresses forward.
