[OpenLayers-Users] displaying text next to icon in Text Layer

Hi,

   I am trying to achieve a slightly different functionality with the Text
layer
as given in the sample
http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/markersTextLayer.html.
Right next to the icon, I would like to display some text too (not within a
popup).
Is there any way to do this in Openlayers?
