[OpenLayers-Users] What is serving examples/openmnnd.html?

I've been looking at the openmnnd example, and have been very impressed
by the performance it provides at serving raster imagery at a very wide
range of scales.

Does anyone have any idea what sort of engine is behind that WMS server?
How they've structured their raster data?
