account on www.openplans.org and then sign in to edit.  Then when you 
hit 'edit' a toolbar should pop up on the upper right which lets you 
place points)

Next GeoServer release should also be updated for OL2.5.  We've been 
doing quite a bit of work on WFS-T with openlayers, so it should be 
pretty solid.
