[OpenLayers-Users] SphericalMercator with Text layer

Hi,

I have a map with Goolge baselayer and a few Text - and GML layers (OL
2.4). The same configuration I will be used in OL 2.5 setting Goolge
layer SphericalMercator: true, units: 'm' etc.
The defined markers in text layer have lon/lat degrees and not meters.
How can I do this properly?
- changing Text.js file, 'Parsdata' add:  location =
OpenLayers.Layer.SphericalMercator.forwardMercator(parseFloat(coord....e
tc.?
- changing source data in .txt files by replacing degrees in meters?
- or something else?
