This is quite interesting. I would venture that it may be simple enough
to create it as a layer of some sort, however, I am wondering if the
utility would be enhanced by simply implementing it as a separate div in
the page itself?

Subject: [OpenLayers-Users] Openlayers and MIT Simile apps

Hey,

Has anyone in the openlayers dev/user community looked into the
JSON-based tools from the SIMILE project, such as exhibit, timeline, and
timeplot? (http://simile.mit.edu/)

It would be really interesting to see an example of data plotted within
an openlayers page at once as graphed in an interactive timeline (of
course if the data has a time series associated with it). See this
example timeplot: http://simile.mit.edu/timeplot/

I noticed this thread about openlayers in recent discussion on the
"Semantic Mediawiki" listserve:

http://www.nabble.com/Semantic-Wibbet--%28SeWibbet-%29-tf4608978.html#a1

Anyone interested?

Cheers,

Dane
