Dear Chris,
I am very sorry for .ambiguous question.
I hv reinstalled Fedora8. 
My html pages are wkg fine.
Mapserver wks fine using templates in html without Open Layers.
*The webpages with Openlayers script do not display the portion/div
earmarked for map display
*Remailning webpage is displayed correctly.
same website wks fine using ms4w.
* My machine is not on internet.
I think I hv given the path to OpenLayers.js correctly.
