[OpenLayers-Users] lines crossing the 180/dateline not working. wrapDateLine not helping.

I have a source layer (in ArcSDE) which has arc lines that cross the 180 
line. Creating a WMS on this, I can see lines on both sides with 
wrapDateLine set to true,but lines that actually cross the dateline are 
a mess. Because the lines in ArcSDE are input to various processing 
jobs, I am very
loathe to actually split the lines as this would break a no. of 
applications. Making a copy with the
splits created is an option but messy for maintenance.

1/ Is there a work around short of splitting it?
2/ If not, where in openlayers does the problem occur (as a hint), so I 
might look at the code for
a solution?
