[OpenLayers-Users] Sharing layers between maps

Hi,

Are there any caveats about having multiple maps on the same page that 
share a number of layer instances?  I have, e.g., a national and coastal 
boundaries layer, and a sub-national administrative units layer.  I'll 
have n maps displayed on the page, and they all use these two layers.  
Seems wasteful to download them again for each map.
