[OpenLayers-Users] What is the layer name for mapnik?

OK. So I found out that:

"Our mapnik tile server uses mod_tile to server the mapnik generated tiles,
> which uses the google style URL scheme, not a TMS URL scheme."

So now, can openlayers use google style url scheme on its own?
If I replace url with tile.openstreetmap.org will it work?
Is there a name of that url scheme other then google way? (not tms,
not flipped tms, not wms)
