If you do a google search with 'filetype:kml' then the results should be 
only KML files.

http://www.google.com/search?q=filetype%3Akml

gives about 7 million results.  You can constrain it with keywords of 
information you're interested in.

GML's a little tougher, no one's really building indexes of it.
