[OpenLayers-Users] Highlighting the selected geometry

Hi Mika,

If your 'other one' layer is vector, you might what to check this 
example : http://openlayers.org/dev/examples/select-feature.html

It might have what you seek : a select feature control. Just right-click 
and "view page source" to see the code.
