[OpenLayers-Users] wrong positoning of image in single tile mode

Hi list,

this is my first post here, if i'm posting to the wrong
place please point me in the right direction.

I am testing openlayers in single tile mode. What I found is
that the map is not centered in the viewport ...
Further investigation cleared that the problem "could" be
solved setting ratio=1.0; my question is : is this the
correct way to request maps in single tile mode or is it
just a workaround i happened to find ?
