Paul Ramsey asked me to provide sample data and service to reproduce
the error, but I haven't gotten around to doing that.

Yes, it is a problem, and basically MapServer just hangs. The data
exist in the db, and the same query works fine when queried in
Postgres directly, but hangs via MapServer. If you zoom out, things
work fine.
