[OpenLayers-Users] IE and "return!!(document.namespace)

IE is tripping up with "unspecified error" on 
return!!(document.namespace). openlayers.js 2.8. Seems to be
in
OpenLayers.Renderer.VML=OpenLayers.Class(etc
line but could only find this in compact version of openlayers so very 
hard to read and debug, let alone figure
out where it was being called from. Can anyone shed any light on this 
please?
