[OpenLayers-Users] changing color of a feature

Hi,

I have a layer which consists of different features.
I want to change the color of  a particular feature which I click or on
mouse hover.
The color of the remaining feature remains the same.

I have created a WMS layer.
Now how can I access a particular feature(complex polygon ) of that layer
and change its color.

I am not getting the geometry of that feature from Database.
I want to get the geometry or select the feature using openlayers functions.
