[OpenLayers-Users] draw feature example

Hi,

I am a bit confused about what I need to do.
Basically I am trying to achieve the following:

I will click on any point on a WMS map and then I want to get all feature
information
within/intersects and outside of a radius(say 100km) from that point.

In this context I need to know the following:
1) Can this be achieved on a WMS map or do I need to overlay a WFS layer on
the WMS layer.
Can it be only a WFS layer.So far I have not been able to create a WFS
layer.

2) How do I apply the Spatial filter within,Intersects on the WMS/WFS layer.
3) What happens when I apply the filter?
Do I get the see the feature Info of the features within/intersecting the
Filter or is it that the Filter area only gets selected.

A working example would go a long way in achieving my objective.So if you
have any pls send the code across.
