[OpenLayers-Users] URL encoding for nominatim

Hello,

in my openlayers application I want to use nominatim for geocoding. This
request

http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search?format=xml&polygon=0&addressdetails=0&q=Marienplatz+Munich

works fine. Though local users may not use the name Munich but München as
the German word.

This request:
http://nominatim.openstreetmap.org/search?format=xml&polygon=0&addressdetails=0&q=Marienplatz+M%FCnchen

does not work. So how do I have to encode my URL? Anyone an idea?
