[OpenLayers-Users] Geoserver vs ESRI ArcGIS Server.

Hi,

exporting MXD's to Geoserver (SLD) can be a problem/issue. There are some
tools available like ArcMap2SLD but they just don't get it quite right.

However, I see quite a bit of potential in Jeroen Ticheler's ArcGIS
extension called "Geocat bridge", which won't be open source but
reasonably priced, which will allow your MXD to be generated on your 
Geoserver instance using the REST config API. There is a talk about this
at the Barcelona conference.
