[OpenLayers-Users] Wtyle is there a style and style2 objects?

Style combines multiple symbolizers in a rule into one, so you cannot
round-trip SLDs with multiple symbolizers per rule.

Style2 keeps the symbolizers separate, but cannot be used for
rendering vector layers.
