var layers = Map.getLayersByName(name);
if(layers.length > 0) {
     layers[0].setVisiblity(true);
     layers[i].redraw();
}
if you are sure name is unique or
for(var i = 0; i <layers.length > 0 ;i++){
     layers[i].setVisiblity(true);
     layers[i].redraw();
}
