Yes I have looked through the forum all last week, and I couldnt find a
remove example

I looked at this example
http://www.openlayers.org/dev/examples/getfeatureinfo-popup.html
but this only opens popups it does not close them. As you can see from my
previous code I am using the hover function, so when ever the user hovers
over a point that data is displayed, this gets very messy if the popup
bubbles arent removed.
