[OpenLayers-Users] Resize Geometry

I'd like to be able to resize the geometry of a feature, but I don't want to scale it.  I want to move each line in/out by x units and not a percentage of the whole.  The resize function takes a scale.

Is there an easy way to do this?  If not, I suppose I'll write something that modifies the points accordingly borrowing from the resize function where I can.
