[OpenLayers-Users] Polygon feature background

Hi,

Is it possible to have an image as a background of the polygon feature? What
i'm looking for is instead of having a fill color for polygon feature a
image that would be stretched to fit the polygon completely.

The idea is to georeference an image using a polygon, I've tried using a
point and using the externalgraphic as shown in this example

I have problems to calculate the image resolutions and the image don't
fit in my polygon.
