[OpenLayers-Users] How to prevent the creation of polylines with the drawing/measurement controls?

Is there an easy way to allow only 2-point lines with the drawing or
measurement controls? When the user sets the second line point, the line
should be completed. A further click should start the creation of a new
line.

Any ideas?
