[OpenLayers-Users] Feature Vector not showing the label attribute

I am dynamically setting the label for a feature vector by
featureVector.attributes = { name : 'label' };.
This was working when I used OpenLayers 2.10. But when upgraded the API to
2.11, this feature is not working.

Is there any difference in setting the attributes in 2.11?

Please let me know, if I am doing anything wrong.
