[OpenLayers-Users] Getting component from SelectFeature

Hello there.

i've created a vector layer in map and then add some features to it by using 
"addFeatures()"
the features are composed of multilinestrings.

now ive got a selectFeature control and want to get the feature info when i
click the above features.
Ok, all is fine and i get the event and it it the correct feature.

from the feature (passed in event) i can get the geometrys and then the list
of all the components.

Now,
Is there a way of telling witch component (in my case witch linestring) was
selected?
