[OpenLayers-Users] Scalebar style behaving badly

I'm using ScaleBar.js to show a scalebar.
This was working fine.
I've made some changes to other parts of my web page and now the position
of the scalebar style has changed. The location of the labels and the
markers are shifted.

I have no idea why this is happening. When I investigate using Firebug I
see the left and width properties of the style are wrong. I can correct
them in Firefox, but they are calculated in the javascript part. This code
is a bit too complicated for me ;)

Does anybody have a solution?
