[OpenLayers-Users] Filter vector layer without redraw

I have vector layer with too much features and I would like to filter them
through checkboxes . What is the most effective way to do that without need
to redraw the layer or controlling the visibility ? because those methods
are not fast enough in my case ( huge amount of data ).
