[OpenLayers-Users] Hiding Layer at Specific Zoom Levels

Is it possible to have a layer only visible at specific zoom levels?  I have
a layer that displays topo maps.  The topo map layer is only usable at 6
zoom levels of the map.  Once you zoom past those levels the background is
pink.  The other layers of the map are still usable at lower zoom levels,
but the topo map layer is not.  Is it possible for the topo layer to be
hidden once you zoom past it's usable level?

 

Any suggestions  are greatly appreciated.
