[OpenLayers-Users] clear previous tile http requests

Is there a way to remove pending http request in OpenLayers ?

This should increase performance and decrease bandwith use.

I saw something in: https://github.com/openlayers/openlayers/pull/702
But I've not started this way.
Any experience or suggestion ?
