[OpenLayers-Users] How to send a GetCapabilities request to a SOS service?

 I found out that my server accepts only POST requests in XML. So, I guess I
can not use Openlayers for this purpose, right?
Do you know perhaps another javascript library which I could use in order to
send the POST getCapabilities request?
Would it be possible then to use the returning respond as input my openlayer
function (ParseSOSCaps) for parsing it?
