Hi,

The code of CenteredCluster is not standard, and is not maintained by the
OpenLayers Team.

Please open a issue on https://github.com/jorix/OL-Ragbag/issues for any
questions about this:
answer: don't disable at zoom > 8, do it at a higher zoom.

About your question, you can look at this code
https://github.com/jorix/OL-FeaturePopups works transparently with popups
for clusters. Attention is also not a standard code.
