[OpenLayers-Users] Neither Markers nor Features show markers with version 2.13

Hi!
I tested my development environment with the following borrowed code which
ran OK:

CODE STARTS:
<html>
<head>
    <title>OpenLayers Example</title>

</head>
<body>
    <div style="width:100%; height:100%" id="map"></div>

</body>
</html>
CODE ENDS

The main difference is my use of Bing maps as the base layer. It has worked
OK until I tried to add features to a vector layer. It adds the layers to
the layer menu. Is there something special I should add/know when using Bing
as baselayer and bing.layers?
