Jeff,

It currently has me set as the default assignee.  What I could do is set
osgeo4w-dev at lists.osgeo.org as the default assignee.  I don't know any other
way to have a variety of people notified of new tickets, etc.  Would that
work well?

This has been done for SAC and WebCom with reasonable success, though it
tends to produce a significant amount of extra list traffic.
