[osgeo4w-dev] QGIS 1.5 requires GRASS?

Hi,

Why does QGIS 1.5 via OSGeo4W require GRASS? The prior stable (QGIS 1.0)
didn't require it, and I thought the GRASS interface was a plugin.

Requiring GRASS is a big waste of download/install time/disk space, since it
is not used in my workspace (furthermore I need to do this on multiple
computer). Are there any plans to decouple GRASS from QGIS, as it was
before?
