 I did this on both an XP system, with only a few warnings, and with Win7
 x64 with errors. My result is a 3.5MB file -- too big to upload on this
 Trac system. (I can upload or email this file on request: append
 @gmail.com to my username).

 Here are my exact steps from an OSGeo4W Shell on the Win7 x64 system:

 C:\>SET GDAL_DATA=C:\OSGeo4W\apps\gdal-16\share\gdal

 C:\>SET GDAL_DRIVER_PATH=C:\OSGeo4W\apps\gdal-16\bin\gdalplugins

 C:\>SET PYTHONPATH=C:\OSGeo4W\apps\gdal-16\pymod;C:\Program Files

 n25;C:\Python25\Scripts;C:\Program Files
 (x86)\PostgreSQL\8.3\bin;C:\Program Fil
 es (x86)\QuickTime\QTSystem\;C:\Program

 C:\>depends OSGeo4W\apps\gdal-16\pymod\osgeo\_gdal.pyd

 The Dependency Walker log details:
 > Error: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing
 export function in an implicitly dependent module.[[BR]]
 > Error: Modules with different CPU types were found.[[BR]]
 > Warning: At least one delay-load dependency module was not found.[[BR]]
 > Warning: At least one module has an unresolved import due to a missing
 export function in a delay-load dependent module.
