 SpatiaLite as well strongly depends on the sqlite-rtree extension

 other highly recommended build settings are:
 /D_LARGE_FILE=1
 /D_FILE_OFFSET_BITS=64
 /D_LARGEFILE_SOURCE=1

 [required in order to enable sqlite3 accessing huge database files > 4 GB]
