 no, it does not seems

 GRASS 6.4.3 (teste)> nviz elevation=mdt
 'nviz' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
 operable program or batch file.


 and there seems to be a more general issue with rasters, because with the
 GUI when I try to add a raster I get
