 I'm not sure if it is a smart idea to install OSGeo4W on a network drive,
 but I gave it a try.  Unfortunately I didn't go far because the installer
 can't see the network drives on a Windows 8.1 system.  A few years ago, I
 was able to do it under Windows XP.
