 GDAL 2.0.1 was released in September 2015.

 Debian is currently going through this transition.
 [https://lists.debian.org/debian-gis/2015/10/msg00032.html]   I assume
 that these packages will go into the Debian experimental branch when most
 of the packages will build.   There has been progress with many packages
 patch their code for GDAL 2.x.

 Only a handful of those packages are included in OSGeo4W.
