[osgeo4w-dev] What is the status of pip and IPython in OSGeo4W?

Hello,

what are the plans for including pip and/or IPython (Notebook)? I was not
able to find anything on the list or in the racker, so I'm asking.

Some time ago, I was able to use some guide [1] to install some packages
available through pip. But recently, following guide on the wiki [2], I was
not able to get IPython Notebook working, not sure why.

Does installing pip or even IPython notebook as part of OSGeo4W makes
sense? Should I create a feature request for it?

Thanks,
Vaclav
