 I guess, this message printed at the end of the installation shows what
 exactly is being installed for `gdal`:

 Dependency order of packages: gdal networkx pyodbc pyparsing pyspatialite
 python-rpy python-rpy2 python-simplejson python-xlrd python-xlwt
 }}}

 It looks like not all GDAL dependencies are pulled.
