Comment:

 Using the installer I just now downloaded from
 http://download.osgeo.org/osgeo4w/osgeo4w-setup-x86_64.exe, it continues
 to place an **OSGeo4W** folder on the desktop even though **Create icon on
 desktop** is not checked.
