 As noted in this thread:

 The xerces-c dll distributed with OSGeo4W and the standard GDAL binaries
 conflicts with similarly named DLLs from other packages (MATLAB, ArcGIS).
 It is desirable to rebuild this package with a distinct name to avoid
 conflicts.

 Note that there is a xerces-c runtime package, and a xerces-c-devel
 include package.  The only packages depending on xerces-c are gdal, gdal16
 and gdal-dev.
