 ok. we had a user report all sorts of problems trying to start GRASS from
 the provided Msys unix terminal (Vista 64bit). I tried too and hit that
 script and so filed the bug. Once corrected we get a "Redirection is not
 supported" error while running the $GISBASE/etc/set_data interactive
 curses text startup program. From the DOS box and Start Menu icons it all
 starts ok.
