皆さん
森亮です。

このほど、OSGeoの本部での役員選挙が行われ、先ほど結果が公表されました。
今回は、アジアから唯一、われらが林博文さんがノミネートされていたのですが、残念ながら当選できませんでした。
期待をしていたので、ガッカリです・・

アジアからの候補者は、そもそも投票権を持っているCharter Memberが欧米に圧倒的に多いので、構造上なかなか大変です。
そして、結果として北米あるいは英語圏以外からの役員はただ1人（Anne Ghisla）だけです。もちろん、選挙で選ばれたメンバーは、OSGeoに対する貢献は顕著ですので、その点においては、これからも活躍を大いに期待できると思います。
