[Live-demo] Re: [OSGeo] #753: 52nWSS not working properly onOSGeoLive?

Hi -

  I have a fresh download of the LIveDVD 5.0RC1 installed in a VM
I choose 'Start 52nWSS' from  Geospatial -> WebServices
it does the delay, and calls the Firefox URL

however, I do not see where a java process is started
ps aux | grep java    ## returns empty

manually calling    sudo /etc/init.d/tomcat6 start    or    
try-restart   [FAIL]

I am not familiar with the theory of operation for tomcat6 and .war files
so I am just guessing here - can a Java person look at this ?
if you go to the #osgeolive channel on freenode I can use the VM I have 
installed
